Logo & favicon
Updated
Your logo appears in the store header, and your favicon is the small icon shown in the browser tab. They are set in two places: the logo in the Theme Builder, the favicon in Settings.
Upload your logo
- Open the Theme Builder and go to the Header tab.
- Find the Logo block and click Upload logo (or Change to replace an existing one).
- Optionally add Alt text (a short description for accessibility) and set the Max width for desktop and mobile.
- Click Save & publish.
Note: If you leave the logo empty, your store header shows your store name instead. A logo image always replaces the text.
Set your favicon
- Go to Settings.
- Under Favicon, upload a small square image. The recommended size is 32×32 pixels.
- Save your settings.
After you upload
A new logo or favicon is optimised in the background, in several sizes, so it loads quickly on every device. This usually finishes within a minute or two and needs nothing from you — your image is shown the whole time, just at its original size until optimising is done.
If you still see the old one
Your store uses the new file as soon as you publish, so an old logo on screen is almost always a saved copy somewhere else:
- Your browser. Reload the page with Ctrl + Shift + R (Windows) or Cmd + Shift + R (Mac), or open your store in a private/incognito window.
- The favicon. Browser tab icons are held on to the longest. Close the tab and open your store in a fresh one; on a phone, close and reopen the browser.
- Facebook, WhatsApp and other apps. When your store link is shared, these apps keep their own copy of the preview image and refresh it on their own schedule, so a shared link can show the old logo for a while.
- Give it a moment. Optimising can still be finishing for a minute or two after you publish.
If the old logo is still showing after all that, open the Theme Builder → Header tab and check that the new file is there and that you clicked Save & publish.
Image tips
- Use a PNG with a transparent background for a logo so it looks clean on any header color.
- Keep the logo wide rather than tall, so it fits the header neatly.
- You don’t need to shrink the file first — upload the sharper original (up to 5MB) and the right size is prepared for you.
- For the favicon, a simple square mark (not your full logo) reads best at a tiny size.
What’s next
- Adjust the header layout in Header, footer & menus.
- Update your name and details in Store information.
