Connect a custom domain

Already own a domain such as myshop.com? You can use it for your store instead of the default yourstore.sohojdokan.com address. Connecting it takes a few simple steps.

Steps

1. In your dashboard, go to Advanced → Domain Management and click Connect existing domain.
2. Enter your domain (just the name, with no http:// or www) and tap Add & Verify.
3. Sohoj Dokan first verifies that you own the domain by serving a verification token at your address. Your store stays live on yourstore.sohojdokan.com while this happens.
4. Follow the on-screen DNS guidance: log in to your domain provider and add the A and CNAME records exactly as shown. Provider-by-provider guides are included.
5. Once your DNS is pointing correctly, the domain activates and your store goes live on it.

Note: DNS changes can take anywhere from a few minutes to a couple of hours to take effect. SSL (the padlock for a secure connection) is set up automatically once your domain points to us — no action needed.

Tips

• If you remove the custom domain later, your store simply reverts to yourstore.sohojdokan.com.
