Understand parcel statuses

Once a parcel is with a courier, its progress is tracked with a parcel status — one shared set of names that works the same way for Steadfast, Pathao and Carrybee, whatever each courier calls things internally.

The parcel statuses

StatusWhat it means
PendingOrder placed, not yet reviewed
ConfirmedYou accepted the order
ProcessingYou are packing it
Awaiting PickupHanded to the courier, waiting to be collected — the stage the dashboard used to call Shipped
In transitCollected and moving through the courier’s network
Out for deliveryWith the rider for delivery
DeliveredDelivered and confirmed
Partially deliveredPart of the order was delivered
ReturnedComing back to you
On hold / attempt failedA delivery attempt failed, or the courier has paused it
Needs reviewThe courier sent something we could not match — open the order and check with the courier
CancelledCancelled with the courier

Note: The stage once called Shipped now reads Awaiting Pickup (the status key is still SHIPPED) — it means the parcel has reached the courier but has not been collected yet. A late update never moves a parcel backwards, so once a parcel is Delivered it stays Delivered, even if an older event arrives afterwards.

The dashboard parcel cards

Your dashboard shows a row of parcel-status cards, each counting the parcels you have in that state: Awaiting Pickup, In transit, Out for delivery, On hold / attempt failed, Needs review, Delivered, Partially delivered, Returned and Cancelled. Only the states you actually have parcels in appear, so a quiet store shows nothing here.

Tap a card to open the Orders list already filtered to those parcels, so you can act on them straight away. The header shows how many parcels you have with a courier in total, and any parcels whose status has not synced yet are called out as awaiting status sync.

Below the cards is a By courier row — a chip for each courier you use (Steadfast, Pathao, Carrybee) with how many parcels are with it. Tap a chip to filter the list to that courier instead.

Note: These cards count only parcels that have been handed to a courier, so an order you have not dispatched yet does not appear. The Delivered card also carries a smaller line: how many parcels synced to Delivered in the last 7 days.

Where the updates appear

Each courier update is written into the order’s journey — the Order History timeline on the order’s own page. A webhook entry appears as a distinct Courier Update row, credited by webhook. It shows the order-status move and the parcel-status change (for example In transit → Out for delivery), and carries whatever the courier sent with it: a failure reason or remarks and a tracking update message, plus — for Pathao — the collected amount and, on a return, the return consignment ID and return type.

This is automatic once the webhook is connected — see courier webhooks. The journey is for you and your staff only; your customers do not see it.

Filter the orders list

The Orders list has a courier filter and a parcel-status filter alongside the others, so you can show only the orders sent to a particular courier or only the parcels in a given state — or tap a parcel card or a By courier chip to open the list already filtered. See view & search orders for the whole filter row.

In the mobile app

The merchant app shows the same parcel-status cards and By courier chips on the Dashboard, the same courier and parcel-status filters on the Orders list, and the same webhook Courier Update rows in each order’s journey.
